JUST IN: Fire chief asking people to stay home. People are venturing out and getting stuck and calling for help. SOME OF THEM MAY HAVE TO SPEND THE NIGHT IN THEIR CARS. Emergency crews cannot get to them. 1000's of KNOWN STRANDED VEHICLES.

5000 people slept at DIA, 1000's still stranded on the roads, many suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning, numerous fatalities including a state trooper, almost 2 feet of snow in Conifer, ten's of thousands without power across the state, but hey...According to Photofish it was a great day

Beautiful Spring Morning!!!! Mother Earth says "Aaahhh" because she loves the much needed snow. Evergreen's Bear Creek Basin is now at 150% of normal snowpack after the last 2 weeks of spring snow. And there's more on the way...…. (you heard it here first! rofllol )

Awesome drive from Bailey to Evergreen today only took about 40 minutes. It was so beautiful all the snow hanging in the trees and the squeaky-crunchy-crunch sound of snow under my 4 wheels.

I didn't see one single car in the ditch or along the road on 285 (except for that red Cherokee that has been there for a week) or along Hwy 73.

It seems foothill people understand spring storms a whole lot better than the flat landers or people who hide out in their closets trying to hype a seasonal event.
