 Democrat leaders not worried about having to give them raises because Denver is solidly Left and the teacher's union would never support a Republican candidate, right?

The teachers have voted to strike. The strike is scheduled to start next Tuesday. The state or city might choose to make it illegal for educators to strike. Last DPS strike was 1994. Coincidentally, Los Angeles teachers have ended their strike for more pay and smaller classes.

Can they make it illegal after the fact? After the strike vote is taken?

I think they can, but predict they won't. Teacher unions are a powerful force in Democrat politics.

Not sure what they are whining about, sounds like a pretty good offer to me. Fire the SOBs! Ingrates!

"The school district said its offer would mean an average 10 percent raise for teachers in the next school year and make the minimum starting salary for teachers $45,500, the second-highest in the Denver area."

Some of them have master's degrees. If they want 110K, go into another line of work.
