2018 Colorado legislative session

Nice summary of this years new bills.

"Colorado lawmakers introduced more than 700 bills in the 2018 legislative session covering a wide range of topics – from transportation to taxes and school safety to health care."

Your browser does not support drag'n'drop file uploads. Please use the fallback form below to upload your files like in the olden days.Colorado state is receiving a windfall of 200 million from citizens who are paying less in federal taxes. Some states like Idaho are handing that money back to their citizens. Colorado politicians in a bipartisan deal are keeping the money to distribute as pork around the state. Yippee! (Sarcasm intended.)

These programs are the same thing as: "handing that money back to their citizens." You Sleazoid

Should they be giving tax breaks to billioniare doners and companies doing business in the state? I just hate it when OUR money is spent on making OUR lives better (Sarcasm intended.)

Good point, and one that has not been widely reported to the sheeple. Almost all the states use an income tax starting point from Federal tax returns, so the tax law actually affects/increases state revenues (temporarily).

Our legislators are drooling at the prospect of all this new free money to spend, shhhhhhh.. quiet don't tell the citizens about it. Or what will happen when changes expire down the road?
https://www.denverpost.com/2017/12/20/f ... ate-taxes/

IMO states should decouple from the Federal tax system, and define state taxable income separate from the Feds for stability.

You never complain about all the corporate welfare, you only complain about our money that is invested in US...

It's a clear indication that you're completely brainwashed. If you weren't brainwashed you'd occasionally complain about the mountain size pile of money we flush down the toilet every day instead of the small amount we invest in things that actually improve our lives and boost the overall economy

You have no credibility... you're just a mynah bird.. corporate America's useful idiot

Complaining? I'm just pointing out what our elected Legislators are doing in managing the state revenues/finances, it is called being an informed citizen, and free speech.

You Fascist!

....Not much of a defense against what you are being acused of. If you never complain about the ridiculous amounts of money we're giving to crony defense and security contractors, then you can't complain about food stamps.. Especially since we get such a great bang for our buck on food stamps.. They stimulate the economy more than any other investment we make, while war profiteering is just the looting of our treasury

WTH are you talking about, again this thread is about Colorado, not Federal defense spending or food stamps.

I actually do hate the incessant over use of the word "investing" for everything the government does.

It is just plain spending, it is either smart or dumb. Efficient or wasteful. Useful or not.
