I'm real glad you found a home over there. That's great that you are the "greedy gringo" in some spanish neighborhood!

But they really do have some serious economic problems due to their "European Socialist" policies. They spent way more money than they can pay back, but at least they are trying. I suspect that the more time you spend there- the more you will get to talk to people and discover the truth. Sure it looks good but you don't need to make a living in that environment like the locals do. Many people are hurting and unemployed.

About you being a "European" now...
I suspect you are not a EU citizen, but just there on a tourist visa. That does not make you a "European" yet. It means that they won't let you stay, you'll need to renew that tourist visa every so often and that means travelling back here over and over. You need to ask the Spanish government for citizenship, a task that is like dealing with the DMV over here, only 99 times worse. Dealing with a European bureaucracy can be loads of fun!

I know about it personally. I delt with the Italian bureaucracy while I was applying for citizenship back when I was in my teens. I am an EU citizen now myself, a dual citizen.

And I may do what you are doing someday in the future... Move to Italy for a year, maybe more!. As a EU dual citizen I have the right to live and work in the EU. I always wanted to unplug and spend a year in Europe. Sounds like a experience of a lifetime! The food and culture is off the charts.

Have fun while you can... If you have the money then Spain can be a blast. Plus it keeps you out of Colorado!!

I only read a paragraph of this bullshit.. you're an ignorant human being who lives in a bubble and has probably never been outside of Colorado. I do not respect your opinion.... my daughter lives there, owns a restaurant there and her husband was born and raised there.. one block away from our apartment

sounds to me like BM is a real legal EU citizen, while you are basically an illegal Gringo enjoying their bennys for free.

Despicable. They should deport you. (on a economy coach red eye flight)

Ha ha..BM is a backwoods cracker, and is about as worldly as Jethro Bodine

Like I said... I'll be home every June, July, August and for Thanksgiving and Christmas... this is a small island in the Mediterranean and it's full of Germans and Brits on Holiday in the summer, and it's way too hot for my wife there then..

I would never renounce my citizenship

There's only one flight a day, and and they'll move someone out of 1k and 1L if I request it- I was the president of the local and represented 1000's gate and ramp agents- They call me The Legend, and I got James Earl Jones moved once

1L- Its my favorite seat

I don't see anything but good times and happy people there, I see 1000's of shops and everyones shopping, eating and drinking..all the time......While I see a sterile Walmart and miserable employees in Evergreen. I believe my eyes over the nonsense you read on your Alt Rightwingnut websites..The quality of life is better there- and Quality of Life is what it's all about

Almost free for American golfers/gamblers... they love those kind of people so much that the citizens actually subsidize these special Americans with leftover tax dollars from their booming economy! GiGi has already been granted his own VIP table at most of the nicer restaurants in town and is expected to meet with local leaders soon to discuss building a new dog track in his name.
