A roof fire at a home in the 5900 block of Bluebell Lane was quickly extinguished Sunday evening.

Firefighters work to make sure all embers are out from a roof fire that was quickly extinguished at a home in the 5900 block of Bluebell Lane Sunday, March 19, 2017.

Firefighters are still on scene to make sure nothing reignites, to look for the source of the fire and to ensure that no embers spread to nearby trees.

Evergreen Fire/Rescue firefighters reached the fire quickly thanks to the watchful eyes of some bicyclists on the road. They noticed smoke coming from the roof and called 911, according to EFR spokeswoman Stacee Martin.
