This started out last year being a statement against injustice but it's turned to being about free speech.
Many more players are taking a knee in defiance of Trump. Calling out Hollywood and NFL players seems to galvanize
high profile people against him. Either way we're further divided.

I think they should have the right to protest and take that knee, but I don't know how smart it is. The American consumer has a lot of choices for entertainment and they can choose to do something else on Sunday. So the real victims might be their own pocketbooks in the end. Empty stadiums, low ratings, lower salaries.

I am totally into free speech but the NFL is a business and they should be putting a stop to it. And BTW how did the NFL get to have non profit status? Why aren't they paying their "fair share". Watching the knee thing made me not want to watch the game. I even watched when I had severe pneumonia in the hospital I asked them to put the game on. I am sickened by it and want money out of the NFL. I want them to pay taxes.

Millionaires who think they're oppressed. I am seriously thinking of asking for my Sunday Ticket money back and just watching Hockey this year. I have not liked the NBA for the same bull. ON a good note, my man CJ stood. He is a good guy.

Civil Religious* ritual in support of jingoistic nationalism leads people further away from God and not toward her. Donald J Trump wants you to worship him, not God, and bind your souls in ritual to his darkness. Do not allow yourself to be taken in, do not allow yourself to become spiritually compromised and corrupted by the fascistic and anachronistic ideology of jingoistic nationalism. It is anathema to liberal democracy and it is an evil poison subversion of spirits, hearts, and minds. I keep hearing people say that we venerate those who died believing that they were defending our supposed spiritual freedoms, let us therefore honor their sacrifices by not despoiling and corrupting the freedoms they laid down their lives believing they were defending.

From Phil Long about Von-We are evaluating the events of the weekend. It is important to state that we haven’t fired Von. We are in the middle of contract renewal and this weekend’s events remind us that sometimes we feel that we best represent ourselves. We support Von and his first amendment rights, we know Von and he’s a good person. He donated a police car to his hometown police dept. All that notwithstanding when we bring in celebrities to represent us we run the risk of being misrepresented.

We, like millions of Americans are concerned and will respond consistently with our values as a proud American company founded by a war hero (Phil Long). While we can’t control the actions of others we can be responsible for how we support our nation and community. That is why, years ago, our principal owner, Jay Cimino, founded the Mount Carmel Veteran’s Service center, and is supported by all Phil Long Dealerships. We support this cause not just with our words, but financially as well, and it is serving hundreds of veterans in need right here in Colorado. This would be a great time for our community to show support for our military community by supporting this cause or others that continue to serve them after they serve us. https://veteranscenter.org/

Jerry Jones and The Cowboys looked like dumbasses tonight. What an idiot. They should have just joined in with the Cardinals and this might have started to correct itself.

The NFL is no longer non-profit. Roger Goodell changed the status to hide his compensation package. Non-profits are required by law to disclose it. I wish the owners would fire him.

Doesn't it make your heart sad to see those oppressed 1%r's taking a knee? Poor babies, must suck to drive super cars, live in mansions, and make more in a year than 99% of us will make in a lifetime. :Crying:

Phil Long Ford just cut Von Miller for kneeling. Actions have consequences. Why piss off half your customers?
