GO FISH!!!

I caught the DPW guys coming out of Evergreen Lake last Wednesday. He said they stocked close to 5,000 trout of all sizes, catchable and sub catchable. The cormorants are gonna love it. I had some luck on Saturday wading from the sandbars. The water is still a bit off color for the dredge operations. Dredging has stopped, but the low flow going into the lake has not helped move the suspended sediments through yet. Clearing up a bit each day but a good rainstorm will clear that up.

Note to Evergreen Lake fisherpeople. You can wade along the north shore in the lake if you are wearing waders (no bare leggers). It is very mucky and sticky to walk through so waders area a good call anyway. Also you must access from the creek by the boardwalk. You cannot cross over the fenced wetland areas to access the lake. I was warned twice on Saturday by the Ranger and the lake ops. crew. I was in compliance both times.

Day two similar results we put 18 fish in the boat, released them all. The water is clear, I bet we could see 20' down in some of the deep holes. The cutthroat are not a brightly colored as their Colorado cousins.

One summer I took my vacation days as "Friday off" for about two months. My boss wasn't pleased, but it was "legal".

THat was crappy editing, I would have done a much better job.
