PARK COUNTY, Colo. -- The Park County Sheriff's Office said on Monday that they believe 17-year-old Maggie Long was "purposefully set on fire and burned alive" inside her Bailey home on Dec. 1, 2017.

Sheriff Tom McGraw said that there are three suspects still at large in the case who they say spent a "significant amount of time inside the home" with Maggie.

Authorities released new sketches of the suspects but said that the suspects may have changed appearances since the incident. McGraw said more sketches may be forthcoming.

"Investigative efforts at the scene revealed a physical altercation took place between Maggie and her assailants before the fire started.
Law enforcement believe the intent of the fire was to conceal actions of these assailants, such as the physical altercation and subsequent robbery."

At the time, Park County Sheriff's office stated, "We do not believe there is any danger to the public at this time", along with a court ordered gag order.
That statement was little comfort to her family or the community then and, given this level of crime, the unknown suspects are still out there now.

Reward for info leading to their arrest increased to $50,000.

So despicable of a crime! I hope these guys get caught soon, and Polis lets them be executed.

PCSO has been a mess for several years. Nate Carrigan's death seemed to totally mess up Sheriff Weggener and he was beyond worthless from that point forward. He only 'called it in ', didn't support or guide the deputies, and then bailed out to go fishing the last half of last year. POS. Hopefully McGraw can pull things together again and isn't handicapped by his choice of undersheriff - one of the failures on the Maggie Long investigation.

Killing the witness Maggie? Is that a sign that she recognized the perpetrators?

I was FB friends with Sheriff Wegner online. After that story came out he defriended me. I thought he had already retired because of all the fishing and stuff he was doing in another state until that story came out.
