Great article from the Coloradoan that explains Why Fire Departments are asking voters to approve adjusting mill levy rates to continue receiving the same amount of money they have been receiving in years past. Sort of funny. The Gallagher amendment was meant to give a break to Colorado homeowners by making businesses pay instead. Now they realize these 500K and million dollar homes should pay more for fire protection.
